The\u00a0girl with the sensible shoes was the first to arrive; an agent on a secret and important mission.\u00a0 The only thing missing was a disguise.\u00a0 The thought ran through her head and made her chuckle.\u00a0 Hope nobody heard.\u00a0<\/em> She sought out Alice who called her through to the back of the teashop. Privileged indeed for this was a special place where the most delightful cakes and scones and pastries and tastiest bite sized sandwiches crafted from beautifully baked homemade bread came into being. Part of\u00a0the\u00a0beauty of this\u00a0place\u00a0lay in the wonderful results of that kitchen.<\/p>\n

Alice it’s gorgeous! Just what we wanted. You’ve done a fantastic job, as always.<\/em><\/p>\n

What about the birthday girl then, think she’ll like it?<\/em><\/p>\n

A cake in the shape of\u00a0red\u00a0ballet shoes?\u00a0\u00a0Her favourite thing … after high heels, champagne and Noah of course!\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The sparkle is on ice.\u00a0 Waiting.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n

I’m sure she thinks we’ve forgotten.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The birthday girl,\u00a0a shopping girl and a dancer,\u00a0had put her favourite red\u00a0ballet shoes aside ten years ago at the very beginning of what the ‘experts’ said\u00a0would be\u00a0a wonderful career.\u00a0 But then life and injury\u00a0interrupted the flow.\u00a0 Choices. \u00a0It wasn’t merely a diversion it was a new path.\u00a0 She thought dancing was her life.\u00a0 It wasn’t.<\/p>\n
